Waste Minimisation

There is a lot that we can do as citizens to reduce the amount of waste that we are responsible for.  The following are some of the Tidy Towns waste minimisation top tips.

  1. Compost your organic waste at home.  Keep an eye on this website or look for notices in the Clarinbridge Lifestyle Garden Centre for free composting seminars run by the County Council.
  2. Recycle you bottles in the bottle bank in the Bridge Centre.
  3. Collect your old batteries and leave them into the collection box in the Clarinbridge Lifestyle Garden Centre for recycling.
  4. Unsubscribe from unaddressed flyers by putting a "No Junk Mail" note on your letterbox.
  5. Unsubscribe from junkmail addressed to you, or former residents of your house, by clicking here.
  6. Businesses can get free advice on reducing waste and saving energy from Sinéad Ní Mhainnín in Galway County Council on 091-476488
